Educational MaterialsThe following stormwater pollution prevention brochures and posters are available to view and download. For residents, they offer easy and effective prevention tips related to lawn and garden care, car washing, home improvement and other everyday activities where small steps can make a big difference. For businesses, they provide practical pollution prevention guidelines for maintenance and cleaning activities, waste management and proper storage or disposal of waste to ensure proper handling. WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLANS (WQMPs) The City of Newport Beach requires new development and significant redevelopment projects to prepare and submit Project WQMP to the City for review and approval. Prior to issuance of grading or building permits, the City shall require the project applicant to have an approved final Project WQMP. In addition all Priority Projects shall require treatment control BMPs. The City will utilize a checklist to document the identification of a project as a Priority Project or a Non-Priority Project. The checklist to be used by the City for categorizing new development and significant redevelopment projects as Priority or Non-Priority is listed below.
